Daniel J. Vance (MS, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)) lives in Vernon Center with his wife, Carolyn, who is a professional knitter. Their two adult children attended Bethany Lutheran College, with the youngest still at it. For 19 years, Daniel was editor of Connect Business Magazine, which serves the nine-county region around Greater Mankato. He has written 12 books and self-syndicates nationally the weekly newspaper column, Disabilities.
Since getting his counseling license in 2011, and now working in counseling full-time, his passion has been helping people through difficult times. He specializes in serving people with severe and persistent mental illness, or with physical disabilities or PTSD, but does other counseling, including couples counseling and career counseling.
Daniel grew up in Cincinnati, lived in Baltimore 12 years, and in 1995 moved to Minnesota to be near his mother-in-law. He is a University of Dayton graduate, has a master’s degree in communication arts, and from Minnesota State University has a master’s degree in mental health counseling.
