Improve Your Behavior with Anger Management and Other Therapeutic Services
Some problems are too big to face on your own. If you’ve been though a traumatic experience or you are suffering from a mental disorder, then our clinical social workers at KRISMA Counseling Inc. may be able to help you permanently change your life, for the better.
Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT Group and Individual)
If you have post-traumatic stress syndrome or if you are a victim of sexual abuse, violence, or trauma, you could benefit from DBT. This will give you a structural approach to evaluate situations in life and develop a healthier alternative response. We offer assessments for individuals, married couples, groups, and families, to see if this is the right therapy for you.
Cognitive Behavioral Approach Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
This approach to counseling helps you view situations in a different light. It gives you the perspective to deal with your problems in a more positive way.
Family Violence and Anger Management
We offer individual and couples counseling to teach you techniques that will make you aware of the cause of your problems. We give you a way of managing the anger for healthier relationships.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a complex, highly specialized therapy used to overcome the effects of traumatic or upsetting experiences.
Through four stages, EMDR assists in the processing of traumatic information, resulting in enhanced integration and a more adaptive thought process of the traumatic event.
Children’s Therapeutic Support and Services (CTSS)
CTSS serves students from birth up to age 21 or until high school graduation. The primary goal is for students to learn to change dysfunctional patterns of behavior, interactions, and communication in order to lead successful lives in their homes and community.
KRISMA offers children’s groups developed to assist children with being able to identify emotions and cope with emotions appropriately.
Brainspotting is a brain-body counseling technique, developed by David Grand, PhD, in which the client is in control of their healing process. This technique encourages the client to become self-aware & mindful as they are working through releasing the trauma and/or significant experiences that are being stored in the body. Brainspotting assists in helping the brain & body heal and change. Brainspotting is a collaborative approach in which the therapist remains attuned as the client is guiding their healing process. Brainspotting has been successful in treating symptoms of PTSD & other trauma disorders, anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, among other disorders & presenting symptoms. Clients will start to make meaning of their past experiences, reframe their thoughts, & decrease presenting symptoms.
